Abstract
The molecular structures of ,4-dimethylphenyl)-2-ethyl-3-hydroxypyridi n-4-one, C15H17NO2, (1), 2-ethyl-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methylphenyl)pyridin-4 -one, C14H15NO2, (2), and -ethyl-3-hydroxy-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)pyridin- 4-one, C14H15NO3, (3), have been determined. The compounds all exhibit mutually hydrogen-bonded dimeric pairs. In the case of (1), the molec ules of the dimer are symmetry related, while in (2) and (3) two indep endent molecules of the asymmetric unit are linked.
