Abstract
This study examined the associations between Vietnam veterans' levels of war-related symptoms of arousal and avoidance and their spouses' pe rceptions of their current family cohesion, adaptability, communicatio n, and parental and marital satisfaction, using veterans' and their sp ouses' self-reports. The results indicate significant associations bet ween the psychological impact of war service and spouses' perceptions of their family functioning and satisfaction.
