Abstract
In this paper we prove that the degrees of the equations defining a qu asi complete intersection space curve C are univocally determined by C . Moreover, we show that these equations belong to a minimal system of generators of the saturated homogeneous ideal I(C) of C. Finally, som e applications of these results are given.
