Abstract
Low spacing technique is expected to realize the superhigh record dens ity of magnetic hard disk (about 10 Gbits per square inch) for contact record. In order to obtain the low spacing and high mechanical reliab ility, the design concept of HDI (head disk interface) system is inves tigated in terms of bounce and wear of contact slider.
