Abstract
Synthesis and characterization of the compound La2CaCu3O7 has been rep orted here. The X-ray powder diffraction analysis reveals that the com pound crystallizes in an orthorhombic crystal system with unit cell di mensions of a = 5.496(6) Angstrom, b = 5.685(5) Angstrom and c = 24.35 6(11) Angstrom.
