A Lyme borreliosis information leaflet has been produced to promote aw
areness amongst the general public. It was designed to provide a frame
work for similar material throughout Europe and complements a question
naire produced to measure awareness of Lyme borreliosis. This question
naire can be used to determine the impact of educational campaigns usi
ng material such as the leaflet. Feasibility studies showed that the q
uestionnaire successfully highlighted predictable differences between
sample groups and also that the leaflet performed well in increasing k
nowledge in low-awareness groups.
