Abstract
A collection of well-specified, clear images is presented that illustr ates the condition of a steel gas metal are welding electrode in Ar-2% O-2 shielding gas over a wide range of constant welding currents. The images show that the transition from globular to spray transfer mode o ccurs over a narrow current range. The transition from spray mode to s treaming mode is not evident.
