Abstract
Continued floristic research in eastern Brazil requires the following new combinations in the Sematophyllaceae: Sematophyllum fluminicola (M ull. Hal.) W.R. Buck, S. leucostomum (Hampe) W.R. Buck, S. pulvinale ( Hampe) W.R. Buck, S. warmingii (Hampe) W.R. Buck, and Trichosteleum gl aziovii (Hampe) W.R. Buck. Extensive new synonymy is proposed.
