Abstract
The finite analytic numerical method (FAM) is an efficient method for solving two-dimensional electrochemical diffusion problems on microele ctrodes. Its basic idea is the incorporation of the analytic solutions of local small elements in the numerical solution of partial differen tial equations. In this paper, we present a detailed introduction of t he finite analytic solution and an overview of the incorporation of th e finite analytic solution in the numerical simulation and the applica tion of FAM in different electrochemical problems.
