We report a newborn infant who has congenital hypothyroidism associate d with profound and persistent neonatal hypoglycemia, Persistent and m arked hypoglycemia has not been previously reported in congenital hypo thyroidism to our knowledge. The cause of this condition may be reduce d glyconeogenesis or insulin clearance.
