Patients with bladder exstrophy have a higher risk of developing carci
noma of the bladder. For untreated cases, the incidence of carcinoma i
s 4-7,5 %, most of which develop in the 4(th) to 6(th) decade of life,
84-95% are adenocarcinomas. We report the case of a 33-year-old patie
nt who developed adenocarcinoma of the bladder after having had a urin
ary conduit diversion and bladder closure during the first two years o
f life.
