Abstract
A fetus with 68,XX karyotype was ascertained by an elevated midtrimest er MSHCG. By antenatal ultrasound, the only unusual finding was in rel ation to the placenta. Preterm delivery was mandated by the developmen t of severe preeclampsia. Postmortem examination of the stillborn fetu s demonstrated no abnormal physical findings other than bilateral synd actyly of fingers and toes.
