Abstract
Heliocephala zimbabweensis sp. nov. collected in Zimbabwe on a rotten leaf, is described as the second species in the genus Heliocephala. Th e present collection is the first record of the genus in Africa. Helio cephala zimbabweensis differs from the type species, H. proliferans, i n possessing completely smooth conidia ending in a straight rostrum, a nd with a darker median cell.
