Abstract
The advanced Marfey's method was applied to the determination of the a bsolute configuration of primary amino compounds and its utility was e xtended from amino acids to primary amino compounds. This method was s uccessfully applied to the characterization of not only constituent am ino acids but also amino compounds in microginin and nostophycin produ ced by cyanobacteria, (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
