Abstract
A practical problem of pollutant migration has been studied for differ ent concentration differences and mass diffusivities using the finite element method. The results indicate that the pollutant takes years to travel 10 m into the water-saturated soil when the mass diffusivity a nd concentration differences are less. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd .
