Abstract
Four cases of intraspinal epidural hematoma are reported, Three patien ts required emergency surgery for acute paraplegia, whereas the fourth achieved a full recovery with no treatment, Magnetic resonance imagin g proved invaluable for deciding between surgery and watchful waiting, In addition to the classic causes, treatment of myocardial infarction with aspirin and thrombolytic agents can cause epidural hematomas.
