Abstract
We analyze complete spectra of the lattice Dirac operator in SU(2) gau ge theory and demonstrate that the distribution of low-lying eigenvalu es is described by random matrix theory. We present possible practical applications of this random-matrix universality. In particular, relia ble extrapolations of lattice gauge data to the thermodynamic limit ar e discussed.
