En. Abdullin et al., MECHANOTRON MEASUREMENT OF THE ELECTRON-BEAM ENERGY DEPOSITION IN A GAS-PHASE, Instruments and experimental techniques, 41(1), 1998, pp. 107-109
A mechanotron pressure transducer was used for determination of the en
ergy deposited by a pulsed electron beam in the surrounding gas phase
under the conditions of nonuniform energy distribution in the working
chamber. It is shown that the pressure jump detected by the mechanotro
n is determined for the most part by the value of deposited energy and
is weakly dependent on the ratio of the active (excited) and buffer v
olumes, provided that the active volume is not less than half of the t
otal chamber volume.
