Na. Palchik et al., EFFECT OF SYNTHETIC CONDITIONS ON STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HYDROXYLAPATITE, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 70(10), 1997, pp. 1513-1516
Hydroxylapatite Ca-5(PO4)(3)OH with varied degree of crystallization a
nd contents of CO32- ions in the structure, as estimated by X-ray phas
e analysis and IR spectroscopy, was obtained by three synthetic proced
ures. The effect of crystallization conditions (concentrations of star
ting reagents, pH, and temperature of product crystallization) on the
structural characteristics of resulting hydroxylapatite was studied. T
he efficiency of these synthetic procedures was estimated in terms of
product yield, product quality, and energy consumption.
