Abstract
Basing on the reaction rate data of methanol synthesis on the catalyst suspended in the mixture of fatty alcohols the kinetic parameters in the rate equations were employed in modelling of the bubble column slu rry reactor (BCSR). Three models describing the performance of the BCS R for methanol synthesis were compared. For the flow pattern in the ga s phase a plug flow or perfect mixing was assumed, whereas the slurry phase was described by perfect mixing or unmixed liquid models.
