Abstract
The dead-end filtration process of Aspergillus niger mycelium suspensi on was investigated. The experiments were performed using a laboratory candle filter FUNDABAC TSD. The influence of the pressure, filtration cloth type, thermal treatment of the broth and the concentration of t he filtration aid was ii determined and the compressibility coefficien t of the mycelium cake was calculated.
