Abstract
Activated protein C resistance is the most common hereditary coagulati on abnormality and is caused by the factor V Leiden mutation, A newbor n who developed seizures within hours after delivery and was found to have a bihemispheric stroke is described, This patient, determined to be heterozygous for factor V Leiden, is the first reported case of neo natal stroke associated with this common mutation.
