Abstract
This paper presents a direct experimental evidence: supporting the ele ctrothermal origin of a non-ohmic behavior on TeO2-V2O5-based glasses, with regard to a previously proposed model for the so-called 'switchi ng effect'. Results indicate that this deviation, enlarging with the p ulse time length, may be explained be a Joule self-heating of the samp le. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
