Abstract
Four new ent-kaurane diterpenoids, melissoidesin A-D, together with a known diterpenoid gesneroidin C, were isolated from aerial parts of Is odon melissoides. Their structures were elucidated by spectral evidenc e. The new diterpenoids were identified as ent-1 beta,7 alpha,11 alpha -trihydroxy-3 alpha,6 beta-diacetoxy-kaur-16-en-15-one; ent-1 beta,11 alpha-dihydroxy-3 alpha,6 beta,7 alpha-triacetoxy-kaur-16-en-15-one; e nt-1 beta,7 alpha,11 alpha,15 alpha-tetrahydroxy-3 alpha,6 beta-acetox y-kaur-16-ene; and ent-1 beta,7 alpha,11 alpha-trihydroxy-3 alpha,6 be ta-diacetoxy-16 alpha-ethoxymethyl-kaur-15-one.
