Abstract
Since 1980's with increase of requirement of electric power the peacef ul use of nuclear energy in China is flourishing. Now three units, tot al installed capacity of 2,000 MWe, are in operation. In the ninth fiv e-year-plan (1996 to 2000) another eight units, total installed capaci ty of 6,600 MWe, will be under construction. In the first half of next century the installed capacity of 120 to 240 GWe shall be constructed so that the market of nuclear electricity in China shall be attractiv e.
