Novel self-assembled monolayers(SAMs) of omega-mercapto methoxy poly(e
thylene glycol) (MPEG) on a gold electrode were fabricated. The MPEG S
AMs electrode had molecular recognition characteristics, dopamine(DA)
having a good response at the MPEG SAMs electrode, and ascorbic acids(
AA) being repelled from it. A high recovery of DA was obtained at the
MPEG SAMs electrode in serum solution.
