Es. Gorkunov et Ai. Ulyanov, RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MAGNETIC AND STRENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF TUNGSTEN-COBALT HARD ALLOYS, Russian journal of nondestructive testing, 33(10), 1997, pp. 677-687
This article examines model representations of the remagnetization of
hard alloys. In accordance with these representations, the magnetic ph
ase of the alloy is regarded as a thin film in which magnetic hysteres
is is determined largely by the average thickness of the film. An expr
ession is obtained for coercivity on the basis of data on cobalt conte
nt and the mean size of the carbide grains. A relationship is establis
hed between cobalt content on the one hand and hardness and ultimate s
trength in bending on the other hand. This relationship is expressed t
hrough such structural components as the average thickness of the coba
lt interlayer and the cobalt content of the alloy.
