Abstract
Experiments were carried out to examine the effect of crack orientatio n and the direction of reading data from magnetic tape on the strength of the signal caused by the defect in magnetographic inspection. A me thod of increasing the sensitivity of the inspection method in detecti ng defects with different orientation is proposed. The inspection cond itions are optimized.
