Abstract
Software designed to help the neurosurgeon in the diagnosis of shunt m alfunction is presented. This software allows the possibility to recor d on a 3.5 diskette a patient's clinical information and four views of a CT scan performed when the patient was doing perfectly well with hi s shunt. This diskette, operated by MS-DOS on any IBM-compatible perso nal computer, can be read at any time, anywhere. The evaluation of the system demonstrated it was safe, with an excellent adhesion of the pa tients and of their families.
