Abstract
The production of the poloidally sheared flow during electron cyclotro n resonant heating (ECRH) in the collisional tokamak plasmas, which re fers to the edge region, is studied. Based on the linearized kinetic d rift equation and the fluid equations including the density perturbati on term driven by rf waves, the criterion of the destabilization of th e poloidal plasma rotation is analytically derived. It is shown that t he edge poloidal plasma rotation can be destabilized during ECRH in th e present rf power level.
