Abstract
Typilobus kishimotoi, new species, a crab of the family Leucosiidae, i s described from the middle Miocene Katsuta Group in Okayama Prefectur e, southwest Japan. The discovery of the species shows that Typilobus had reached Japan, on the west side of the North Pacific, by middle Mi ocene.
