Abstract
Timing of puberty and final height are usually normal in girls with a history of premature adrenarche. However, these patients show an incre ased frequency of ovarian hyperandrogenism, hyperinsulinism and dyslip emia at adolescence. The hyperinsulinemia and lipid disturbances can o ften be detected in the prepubertal period, recommending long-term fol low-up of these patients into adulthood.
