Abstract
Using a laboratory technique previously developed to evaluate the perf ormance of chemical foaming agents (CFAs) in crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) foam, metallocene polyolefins were evaluated at various additio n levels to branched LDPE to determine their effect on general foam qu ality (cell size, density, appearance etc.). The laboratory method is discussed, and conclusions on acceptable levels of the metallocene res ins are offered.
