Abstract
The effect of azole, sodium chloride, and sodium thiocyanate and their binary and ternary mixtures on iron corrosion in 1 M H2SO4 was studie d. Equations of total and partial coefficients of reciprocal influence were proposed. Specific cases were analyzed, and additive concentrati ons were taken into account. The applicability of the HSAB principle f or explaining the effects of individual compounds and their combinatio ns was shown.
