Abstract
This paper deals with a system of reaction-diffusion equations modelin g a chemical reaction process involving three substances. The mathemat ical system consists of three semilinear partial differential equation s of parabolic type with homogenous Neumann boundary conditions. The g oal is to determine whether each substance has a positive asymptotic l imit by the method of upper and lower solutions. (C) 1998 Academic Pre ss.
