Abstract
Including the effects of length of daily feeding period on food consum ption by metamorphosed O-group Baltic herring in Arrhenius & Hansson's (Marine Ecology Progress Series 110, 145-149; 114, 314) bioenergetics model improved its predictive accuracy, and accounted for consumption earlier in the season and lower daily consumption in autumn.
