Abstract
Quadratic aberration is successfully corrected with a segmented microe lectromechanical deformable mirror in conjunction with a refractive le nslet array. Use of the lenslet array greatly improves the effective f ill factor of the correcting element. Experimental results show correc tion approaching the diffraction limit for an extreme spherical aberra tion. (C) 1998 Optical Society of America.
