Vk. Aksenov et al., SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES AND STRUCTURE OF VANADIUM AFTER CRYOGENIC DEFORMATION, Low temperature physics, 24(3), 1998, pp. 201-204
The effect of low temperature (77 K) deformation by drawing (80%) on t
he superconducting properties and structure of vanadium is studied. Th
e structural elements (fragment boundaries) responsible for the observ
ed changes of critical parameters are isolated. The electron-phonon co
upling constant and the electron mean free path undergo most significa
nt changes in these regions of rotational deformation localization, wh
ich have a high density of defects and are powerful sources of interna
l stresses. The dislocation density at the fragment boundaries is esti
mated. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-777X(98)00903-7]
