Abstract
Pyrylium and pyridinium bromides may be prepared in virtually quantita tive yield by reaction of the corresponding base with an excess of ter t-butyl bromide under reflux in chloroform solution. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
