Abstract
The palladium-catalyzed reaction of aryl and vinyl iodides and triflat es with carbon monoxide in the presence of hexamethyldisilazane follow ed by hydrolytic work-up affords aromatic and alpha,beta-unsaturated p rimary amides in good to high yields under relatively mild conditions.
