FEW-BODY ASPECTS OF QCD AND THE INTERNAL STRUCTURE OF THE NUCLEON

I discuss some of the progress made in the recent years in understandi ng the internal structure of the nucleon. In particular, I focus on da ta from high-energy probes and on the basic observables such as the nu cleon mass, momentum, and spin. The connection between quantum chromod ynamics and possible few-body effective theories is briefly commented upon.
