Abstract
A variational method is used to describe scattering states in the thre e-nucleon system. Using appropriate boundary conditions, the method ca n be applied to energies above the deuteron breakup threshold. The inc lusion of long range potentials as the Coulomb interaction does not ca use additional difficulties. Numerical results are given for central s pin dependent forces.
