We have performed single-energy phase-shift analyses of proton-deutero
n elastic scattering: data in the proton energy range from 3.5 to 10 M
eV. The resulting values for the S-2(1/2) and (PL1/2)-P-4, P-4(3/2), a
nd P-4(5/2) phase shifts are important benchmark values for three-nucl
eon calculations based on nucleon-nucleon potential models (with and w
ithout three-nucleon forces) aimed at describing the triton binding en
ergy and at resolving the nucleon-deuteron A(y)(theta) and iT(11)(thet
a) puzzles, respectively.
