Abstract
Preliminary data about mineralogical aspects of the alteration-weather ing effects affecting the Randa orthogneiss are presented. Despite the cold-temperate climate of the Alps, phenomena as dissolution, transfo rmation and neoformation might be documented in the matrix of the rock as well as along discontinuities.
