Abstract
Lithium triborate crystals are grown from the Li2O-B2O3-MoO3 system us ing solution-melt crystallization at spontaneous nucleation, seeded cr ystallization, and quenching. The Li2O-B2O3, B2O3-MoO3, and Li2MoO4-Mo O3 binary systems framing the Li2O-B2O3-MoO3 ternary system are studie d in the subliquidus region using the method of solid-phase reactions. The LiB3O5-MoO3 and LiB3O5-Li4Mo5O17 sections and the LiB3O5-Li4Mo5O1 7-MoO3 ternary system of this oxide system are also examined.
