Abstract
The surface tension at the deconfinement transition of SU(3) is determ ined with a parametrized version of the fixed point action of a renorm alization group transformation on lattices with temporal extent N-tau = 3 and 4 and spatial extent N-sigma/N-tau = 3 and 4. A considerable c ut-off dependence can be seen in comparison with earlier determination s from tree level Symanzik and tadpole improved actions. (C) 1998 Publ ished by Elsevier Science B.V.
