Abstract
This paper reports on the realization and study of metallic composites simply formed by a direct charge-transfer reaction between solid bis( ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BEDT-TIF) and solid iodine. Under a ppropriate conditions these composites are shown to behave with metall ic behaviour from 300 down to 2.3 K, the low temperature limit of the present experiments. Below 15 K, the resistivity even starts to decrea se at a much more pronounced rate, thus suggesting the possible occurr ence of a superconducting transition in the composites at Lower temper ature.
