Abstract
The normally used Gaussian formula is replaced by a vivid, physically substantiated algorithm by which the dispersion in the atmosphere can be treated with the help of a PC. From the sigma-parameter for the dis persion in y- and z-direction and the measures Delta x, Delta y and De lta z of the used volume elements Austausch-velocities are calculated, by which the mass of one or more start volume elements will be transp orted and deluted in vertical layers in x-direction. This leads to the same concentration field as if using the Gaussian formula and the sig ma parameters, The advantage is, that after each time step any other e ffect which can be described mathematically can be inserted and by mai ntaining the total mass can be treated together with turbulent diffusi on.
