At. Adorno et al., INFLUENCE OF SILVER ADDITIONS ON THE AGING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CU-10.4AT-PERCENT-AL ALLOY, Journal of alloys and compounds, 268(1-2), 1998, pp. 122-129
The influence of additions of 1.3, 2.5, 3.8, 5.1, and 6.3 at.% Ag on t
he aging behavior of the Cu-10.4at.%Al alloy was studied using microha
rdness measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SERI) and energy di
spersive X-ray (EDS) analysis. The results indicated that with silver
additions it is possible to obtain a response to age hardening, and th
at for large aging times there is a decrease in the alloy hardness, wi
th a process that lends to Ag and Al segregation. (C) 1998 Elsevier Sc
