MAGNETIZATION CURVES OF AMORPHOUS SANDWICH VIDEO HEADS

To optimize the layer structure of the magnetic circuit and the parame ters of preparation of the layer, several investigation methods have b een developed. Besides measuring the magnetization curves in different ial transformer arrangements, the eddy current distributions have been measured by thermography. The described measuring methods allow concl usions for the optimization of many parameters, Measuring the magnetiz ation curve of the assembled video-head allows - besides general elect romagnetic characterization - to detect remanence and the danger of un intended tape erasing.
